About the Role
The Client Group in Singapore has an opening for a Relationship Analyst (“RA”) for a six-month contract. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our Southeast Asia team and will be primarily responsible for supporting our relationships with institutional clients.
Role
The RA will work closely with the business team on a portfolio of institutional relationships. The RA will assist and partner in the core aspects of business development, relationship management, and client servicing, including:
Prospecting support – qualifying and coordinating aspects of the sales lifecycle, including qualification of opportunities, RFP coordination, pitch material coordination, follow ups.
Client/prospect meeting life cycle – coordination and preparation for meetings – materials, briefing notes, meeting notes, follow ups.
Respond to client/prospects inquiries on a wide range of topics (product, portfolio, market/investment content related, servicing, etc.), often under significant time pressure.
Build their internal network relationships and manage internal stakeholders for effective collaboration.
Incorporating product knowledge with firm awareness, the Analyst will be required to effectively communicate client expectations with a variety of internal constituents including portfolio services, guideline monitoring, legal and compliance, portfolio management, product management, investment operations, trading, and other functions
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a passion for learning about the global capital markets. In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed income, alternatives and/or multi-asset investment products is strongly preferred. Interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/problem-solving orientation are required. Inclination and adaptiveness towards the use of technology and systems is appreciated. The successful candidate should be organized and have strong attention to details; strong interpersonal skills; is a self-starter and able to work independently; mature and strong professionalism.
Other required qualifications include:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in analytical roles within the investment industry
- Direct buy-side experience supporting institutional client relationships in Southeast Asia preferred
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience with an investment management firm will also be considered
- Strong academic credentials including a Bachelor's degree with preference given to candidates who have undertaken post-graduate work or are progressing towards a CFA
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written
