Job Purpose:
The Head of Strategy & Transformation will be a key member of the regional leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the APJ growth strategy while driving large-scale business transformation initiatives. This role will focus on accelerating profitable growth, improving commercial and operational excellence, and enabling the region’s evolution toward a more digital, data-driven, and scalable distribution model.
The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, execution rigor, financial acumen, and change leadership, with deep exposure to IT distribution, technology ecosystems, and multi-country operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the APJ regional strategy, aligned with global priorities and local market dynamics, translating strategy into clear, actionable priorities.
Drive annual operating plans and multi-year strategic roadmaps, including growth, portfolio, investment, and market entry strategies.
Own and lead large-scale transformation initiatives across commercial, operational, digital, and organizational domains to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Design and execute change management strategies to ensure adoption of new processes, systems, operating models, and ways of working across diverse APJ markets.
Establish and run a robust project and program management discipline, including initiative prioritization, governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and benefits realization.
Partner with Finance and business leaders to drive P&L improvement initiatives, including margin expansion, pricing optimization, cost-to-serve reduction, and productivity improvements.
Build and embed performance management frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting to enable data-driven decision-making and execution rigor.
Identify, evaluate, and support M&A opportunities in APJ, including target identification, strategic fit assessment, commercial and financial due diligence, and synergy modelling.
Lead or support post-merger integration (PMI) to ensure alignment with strategic intent and realization of financial and operational synergies.
Act as Chief of Staff to the APJ President, supporting strategic agenda-setting, prioritization, and execution of President-sponsored initiatives.
Drive alignment across the APJ leadership team, ensuring focus, clarity, and follow-through on the most critical strategic priorities.
Prepare and deliver board-level and executive-ready materials, including strategy updates, business cases, performance reviews, and transformation progress.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the APJ executive leadership team, providing fact-based insights and recommendations on complex business issues.
Act as the bridge between global strategy teams and regional execution, ensuring alignment, speed, and consistency.
Establish and maintain governance models for strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and M&A activities, ensuring accountability and execution discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
15+ years of progressive leadership in commercial strategy, sales, marketing, or business management within the technology or related industries, including 5+ years in a senior executive role.
Proven track record in driving commercial transformation and delivering measurable business results.
Strong understanding of sales and marketing effectiveness, pricing, portfolio management, and partner ecosystems.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Exceptional strategic, financial, and analytical acumen with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated success in leading diverse, multicultural, and matrixed teams across geographies.
