Location: Hong Kong or Singapore Come join the Executive Office APAC team supporting the Property & Casualty Reinsurance SID Market Unit ("MU") as a key strategic and operational business partners to the MU Heads and Cross Functional Team. As part of a global team, the MU Operations Officer is a high-impact role crucial to the long-term success and resilience of the regional organization. You will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives across the APAC MU's, working directly with senior leadership across the business and global functions. About the Role We are looking for a talented leader who can inspire and coordinate cross-functional cooperation, acting as an essential link between executive leadership and operational teams. You will be key to support and drive strategic planning, operational efficiency, and organizational transformation, and you will an important contributor to shape the operational and strategic direction of our MU operations in SID (Southeast Asia, India and Dragon) which also covers APAC Facultative business, ensuring seamless execution of multi-faceted initiatives that span the entire organization, and driving our culture of taking accountability, driving simplicity and speed in decision making. Reporting directly to the Director, Lead Market Unit Operations APAC, your core responsibilities will include: Strategic Partnership – Serve as key Business Partner to the MU Head SID, cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with SID Management Team and key stakeholders across the whole Swiss Re organization. Initiative Leadership - Leading cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. Strategy Development - Supporting the creation and execution of SID Growth Strategy and Action Plans for target markets across APAC, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market dynamics. Executive Communication - Developing and present high-impact executive-level reports and strategic recommendations to the business leadership, including reporting to CEO and Board members. Implementation Excellence - Driving the execution of the Group Strategy, P&C Re BU and Local MU Initiatives, ensuring local implementation aligns with global objectives. Operational Management - Planning and directing administration, performance management, budget planning, cost control and workshop facilitation. Work location is either Hong Kong or Singapore. About You You're a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills who thrives in complex, multicultural environments. Your ability to build relationships across organizational levels, translate strategy into action, and drive meaningful change makes you an ideal candidate for this transformative role. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: Degree in Business Administration, Finance or insurance related fields. 7+ years of progressive experience in similar role, consulting and/or the reinsurance/insurance industry; solid understanding of Property & Casualty business preferred. Proven track record of project management leading complex, regional strategic initiatives and driving organizational change. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making. Influencing and interpersonal skills, enjoys collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, across functions and with external partners. Continuous improvement and growth mindset both personally and professionally Expert-level presentation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to diverse audiences, including Board members and C-suite executives. Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel, advanced financial acumen and xls modelling skills. Global mindset with experience working in multicultural environments.
