Full Description

  • Cost estimating, analysing budgets, cost control and financial reporting related to mechanical and electrical services of construction projects
  • Preparation of tender and contract documents
  • Preparing design brief documents for all mechanical and electrical services
  • Tender evaluation, analyse bids or proposals submitted by contractors
  • Collaborate with Project Teams to develop accurate cost forecasts, assess cost implications of design changes
  • Assessing interim payment applications and final accounts
  • Carrying out cost analyses on mechanical and electrical services
  • Providing general support and advice on various aspects of mechanical and electrical services
     

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E cost estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
    (Experience with large‑scale building or infrastructure projects is advantageous.)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, materials, equipment specifications, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in preparing cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, and contract documentation for M&E works.
  • Familiarity with tender evaluation processes, bid analysis, and contract administration.
  • Proficient in cost analysis tools and software (e.g., CostX, Excel, or similar QS‑related applications).
  • Good knowledge of local construction codes, M&E regulations, and statutory submission requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret design drawings and assess cost implications of design changes.
  • Experience with assessing interim payment applications, variations, and final accounts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced project environment.
