JOB SUMMARY The PRB Specialist, Cash Compensation supports the design, governance and execution of cash compensation programmes across the Bank. The role ensures that Fixed and Variable Pay arrangements are competitive, compliant with UK and global regulatory requirements, and aligned with the Bank’s strategy and reward philosophy. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy • Compensation design and delivery – support the annual pay cycle including salary review, bonus planning and incentive schemes • Support market benchmarking activities / external compensation surveys • Analyse pay data to assess competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with reward strategy • Act as a subject matter expert on cash compensation matters within PRB and HR • Develop global communications including internal broadcasts, guidance materials and other collaterals in partnership with colleagues across the team • Partner with team members to deliver global briefing calls for HR stakeholders and People Leaders Business • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure all views and inputs are considered when improving processes and systems • Prepare modelling scenarios and cost impact analysis relating to pay proposals to support business decision-making • Produce clear insights, dashboards and make recommendations where required, for consideration by senior stakeholders Processes • Administer fixed and variable pay in line with approved frameworks, standards and governance requirements • Contribute to continuous improvement and improved effectiveness of compensation processes, tools and systems including playing an active role in the annual ‘Review of the Review’ • Support automation, standardisation and simplification initiatives across global reward operations • Support delivery of projects involving project planning, data management approach, technology enhancements, operational execution and process design, implementing changes with regards to regulatory requirements, compensation statements and high-level global analytics (with a focus on anomaly detection and resolution) People & Talent • Support retention of talent through effective pay practices • Partner closely with the PMCC Operations team to deliver work effectively with a focus on upskilling colleagues and building deeper technical knowledge within the team Risk Management • Maintain strong controls, audit trails, and documentation to support regulatory reviews and internal reviews/audits, where required Governance • Ensure cash compensation practices comply with UK regulations (including PRA/FCA requirements) and applicable local regulations in other markets • Support remuneration governance processes, including documentation for internal committees / external regulators, where required Regulatory & Business Conduct • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
