Role Summary
The Regional Head of HR, APAC & MENA will lead and oversee the full employee lifecycle and HR agenda across multiple markets. This role partners closely with regional leadership team to deliver strategic people related agendas, while ensuring operational excellence across talent acquisition, Compensation & Benefit, talent & leadership development, employee relations, HR policies, and systems. Play a pivotal role in shaping a high‑performance culture, ensuring compliant HR operations, and enhancing employee engagement across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic People Partnering
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders by understanding commercial priorities and translating them into actionable people strategies.
Partner with the Global Head of Business Partnering to execute global HR frameworks within the regional context, ensuring consistency while tailoring solutions to local requirements.
Drive organizational design initiatives to support business growth, workforce planning, and structural effectiveness.
Leadership Advisory & Coaching
Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on talent, succession, workforce challenges, organizational culture, and engagement.
Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, performance management, conflict resolution, and team development.
Talent Acquisition & Mobility
Partner with business leaders to define and execute regional hiring strategies.
Report and analyse recruitment metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Oversee mobility processes including relocation assistance, tax compliance, visas, and work permits.
Compensation & Benefits
Lead compensation and benefits review process
Oversee monthly payroll and manage payroll vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and update payroll systems in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
Monitor regional market practices to propose competitive benefits.
Administer benefit programs and manage claims processes.
Training & Development
Coordinate logistics and delivery of regional and local training programs.
Support implementation of talent development initiatives
Employee Relations & Engagement
Maintain and enhance employee relations frameworks, policies, and handbooks.
Support managers and employees on ER issues with sound guidance and compliance.
Ensure proper documentation and filing according to global guidelines.
Contribute to employee engagement programs including surveys, action planning, and cultural initiatives (e.g., team-building events, employee socials).
HR Policies, Processes & Systems
Provide training and support on HR systems such as Workday and SaxoLearn
Ensure accurate HR data management and strong governance of data‑handling processes.
Oversee seamless onboarding, offboarding, and change processes across the region.
Manage leave and absence administration within regulatory frameworks.
Support offboarding and redundancy processes with timely documentation and payroll coordination.
HR Operations & Advisory
Serve as the primary escalation point for operational HR inquiries.
Oversee preparation and management of contracts, amendments, and employee documentation.
Conduct exit interviews and manage HR surveys as needed.
Ensure high‑quality, consistent HR service delivery across all regional locations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of HR experience including strong HR Business Partnering exposure.
Experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
Fluent in English and preferable Chinese.
Strong knowledge of regional labour laws, statutory requirements, and HR regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
Ability to collaborate across global and regional teams effectively.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated experience managing HR projects and driving outcomes.
Confident, articulate, and professional with a continuous‑learning mindset.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
