The Commercial Director, SEA, will be an experienced digital media executive with deep knowledge of the digital acquisition and brand advertising marketplace. This individual will be responsible for leading and growing a team across South East Asia working with top-tier agencies and direct marketers to exceed the team’s revenue goals.
The ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader, effective manager, and respected by subordinates, colleagues, and customers. This candidate loves making sales calls with his/her team and builds deep relationships with agencies and clients. This individual will be based in our Singapore office covering the South East Asia territory.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading a team of field advertising sales team to exceed revenue goals within planned sales expensesParticipate in recruiting, growing, and managing a teamWork with the VP, APAC to manage all aspects of the team’s sales function including developing new and incremental business, setting goals and ICP lists, determining needs, and proposing appropriate programs directly or via sales staffBuild a trusted partnership with marketing to drive thought leadership initiatives and elite client engagement opportunities Be active in the field, making sales calls throughout the territory, and drive revenue directly and through the sales teamDevelop and maintain strong high-level relationships with top-tier advertising agencies & clientsRegular reporting including forecasts against plansWork closely with other functional areas to execute sales programs, deliver campaigns, drive marketing programs, etc.Build an intimate understanding of Quantcast products and their place in the industryBuild agency/direct client relationships with senior level executivesRepresent the Company as a key external evangelist at industry events, conferences, panels, media/PR opportunities, etc.
Requirements:
10+ years sales experience in online advertisingCurrent or previous management experienceProven track record of establishing and exceeding team and individual goalsProven track record of personally pitching and closing business, in addition to building and managing a sales organisationStrong analytical skills for managing a systematic sales funnel with key metrics, and for demonstrating ROI to advertisersOutgoing and adept at creating professional relationships. Contacts at both senior and junior levels is a plusExperience in audience-based selling of digital media is idealStrong understanding of fundamentals of online advertising processes and technologyActive in industry trade and networking eventsBachelors Degree or equivalent experienceExceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)Strong attention to detail and ability to QA own workHunter mentality, tenacity, and ability to “think on your feet”Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAdept at using MS Office products and Salesforce.com
