The Senior Manager, Products – Innovation, Strategy & Technology plays a critical role in supporting the Director/Senior Director in driving product innovation, shaping product strategy, and embedding modern technology-enabled practices across the Group Product Function. This role is essential in preparing, operationalising and spearheading group-wide product or proposition related initiatives. The role will also be preparing materials for internal forums, strategic discussions, and executive updates for the Group Chief Product Officer (GCPO) and other senior stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Product Innovation, Strategy & Technology Support

  • Conduct market scans, competitive benchmarking, and customer insights research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new opportunities across the insurance landscape.
  • Support the development of product innovation initiatives that bring customer‑centric, cross‑functional perspectives into market‑level and enterprise‑wide product strategies.
  • Contribute to group product roadmap development by helping balance strategic initiatives (e.g., increasing Health & Protection mix, expanding customer coverage) with near‑term delivery priorities.
  • Identify and assess opportunities with AI, data analytics and digital wealth platforms to enhance Prudential’s product propositions and potential value‑added partnerships.
  • Support the Director/Senior Director in managing the functional book of work, initiative prioritisation, and programme delivery tracking.
  • Ensure the Group Product Function has complete and up-to-date product management information, e.g. maintenance of Product Dashboard, and conduct the deep-dive analysis as and when required.
  • Support the build and strengthening of the product community in Prudential Group, e.g. internal group product communication or internal product conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Product members LBU responsibility in driving group product strategic initiatives.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, preferably across product development, strategy, innovation, or technology‑driven product initiatives.
  • Experience working in regional or multi‑market environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, cross‑functional communication skills, and the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with digital ecosystems, data‑driven product innovation and emerging technologies (AI).
  • Passion for customer‑led innovation and introducing new solutions that would improve delivery of Prudential’s propositions across markets.
