The key objective is to support efforts to advance interdisciplinary education and research excellence, and to accelerate innovation across biotechnology & synthetic biology, food science & technology, and translational healthcare and biomedical technology, aligned with the University’s broader research and innovation mission.

We are looking for a Project Officer to provide critical research support for the development of carry-free peptide PROTAC assemblies by executing experimental workflows, including molecular synthesis, cellular assays, and in vivo validation. Meanwhile, the role will focus on translating scientific outcomes into high-impact deliverables such as peer-reviewed manuscripts and patent applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Molecular synthesis, purification, and characterization.
  • Carry-free peptide PROTAC assembly and formulation optimization.
  • Cell-based assays validating drug efficacy and mechanism.
  • In vivo validation studies and sample analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical, biosafety, and animal ethics.
  • Prepare figures, methods, and manuscript drafts for publication.
  • Support invention disclosures and patent drafting documentation.
  • Coordinate with core facilities, collaborators, and vendors.
     

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's qualification degree in chemistry, material science or related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant technical hands-on experience in chemical biology.
  • Familiarity with target protein degradation, peptide chemistry, and nano-delivery system.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in organic molecule synthesis, cellular analysis and in vivo (mice) experiments.
