Job Description

As Supply Chain Readiness Lead at NTS Singapore, you are responsible for leading the Purchasing team while ensuring material readiness in support of the Master Production Schedule (MPS). You translate material plans into reliable supplier execution, safeguarding production continuity. By combining operational buying leadership with material readiness planning, you ensure that supplier commitments align with frozen schedules and business priorities.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Purchasing / Operational Buying team, ensuring clear ownership and workload balance

• Translate MRP output into actionable purchase orders and confirmed supplier commitments

• Ensure material readiness within the frozen production window and proactively manage shortages

• Own supplier delivery performance, including PO confirmation, rescheduling, and expediting

• Drive on-time delivery (OTD) improvement and address chronic supplier underperformance

• Chair or co-chair shortage and risk review meetings, defining recovery and preventive actions

• Work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders to protect execution
  

Job Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, or supply chain operations

• Experience leading or coordinating a small purchasing or buying team

• Strong knowledge of MRP, PO management, and supplier follow-up processes

• Experience in HMLV / HMHV manufacturing environments is an advantage

• Proficiency in ERP systems (Navision or equivalent)

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders

• Execution-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure
