The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments. Pre-sales Solutions Consultant Role Overview We are looking for a Pre-sales Solutions Consultant to join our team as a technical partner to our Merchant customers. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and technology. Your primary objective is to help prospective merchants understand how to integrate our payment solutions into their specific technical environments (e-commerce platforms, ERPs, or custom systems) with minimal friction. You will act as a central pivot point, working closely with Sales, Operations, Product, Technology, and Finance to ensure that the solutions we propose are technically sound, operationally viable, and aligned with the merchant’s business requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Integration Planning & Solution Design ● Technical Assessment: Analyze the existing technical landscape of prospective merchants. Whether they use third party platforms (Shopify, Magento) or complex proprietary legacy systems, you will identify how our payment solution fits into their current infrastructure. ● Workflow Design: Propose integration flows that meet the merchant’s business needs while remaining technically viable. You will design architectures that utilize APIs, SFTP batch files, or Message Queues depending on the merchant's specific requirements. ● Win-Win Solutioning: Identify potential technical challenges or incompatibilities early. You will design elegant solutions that balance the merchant's constraints with our platform's best practices, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome. 2. Sales Support & Demonstrations ● Partner with Sales: Join client meetings to handle the technical aspects of the conversation. While the Sales Manager focuses on commercial terms, you will answer technical questions pertaining to NETS’ solutions eg. security, implementation, data flow. ● Product Demonstrations: Manage the demo environment and conduct live walkthroughs of our payment platform and solutions. ● Proof of Concept (PoC): When necessary, build rapid prototypes or custom scripts that prove specific capabilities to the merchant during the evaluation phase. 3. Internal Collaboration ● Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Operations, Product, Technology, and Finance teams to ensure that every proposed solution is commercially viable, compliant with reporting standards, and aligned with our operational capabilities for a smooth implementation. 4. Developer Guidance ● Integration Support: Assist merchant technical teams in understanding our product documentation. You will provide guidance on best practices to ensure they have a clear understanding of the integration effort required. ● Content Creation: Develop simple integration guides, flowcharts, or technical one-pagers that help the Sales team explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Job Requirements Required Qualifications ● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a Business degree with a strong technical focus. ● Experience: 4-5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Technical Support, Implementation, or Sales Engineering). ● Technical Knowledge: ○ Strong understanding of diverse data exchange methods, including REST APIs, JSON, Webhooks, SFTP, and Message Queues. ○ Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams. ○ Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is preferred. ○ Ability to read and write code (Java, Python, or JavaScript) to troubleshoot issues or build small integration prototypes. ● Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate with diverse audiences. You can articulate value, negotiate requirements, and influence stakeholders ranging from developers to C-level executives. ● Problem Solving: A creative thinker who strives for elegant solutions.
