Purpose of the role:

As a Vice President of JCBDA – SG-BPU, this position is to fulfil as follows;

  • Create and control business plans for JCBDA – SG to achieve financial target.
  • Scrutinize statistical performance figure and utilize them effectively to contribute to BSC of for JCBDA – SG
  • Promote business initiatives/projects in not only SG but also the region


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create business plans and promote marketing initiatives for JCBDA – SG.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in various divisions to coordinate and collate relevant materials to support in developing business strategies.
  • Responsible for analysing revenue and expense data to illustrate the performance and provide updates accordingly.
  • Consolidate statistical performance figures in order to report to Management for monitoring and reporting purpose.
  • Provide JCBDA – SG with the data that is helpful to promote their marketing activities.
  • Prepare and present materials to materials to management on performance.
  • Promote business initiatives/projects in the region.
  • Assist in preparing ad hoc departmental reports and presentations.
  • Make JC policy for Compliance and Internal control and manage it with Team Head.
  • Create financial plan for JCBDA – SG.
  • Monitor financial performance and assess against projected targets.
  • Manage expense budget and head count in JCBDA – SG.
  • Manage Balanced Score Card for JCBDA – SG.    
  • Arrange business seminar and meeting for our customers in Japanese
  • Support our customers by developing new products and business framework and relevant divisions
  • Support, coach and guide on complex issues.
  • Arrange and assist on various conferences and meetings.
  • Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of finance planning experiences within Japanese Corporate Banking industry as the role requires interaction with Japanese corporate clients.
  • Minimum JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent language capabilities/ proficiency) is required to effectively communicate with counterparties from the Operations and IT function across Tokyo and APAC offices, supporting system implementation initiatives.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing and managing profit and expense budgets as part of the business plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively and courteously with others.
  • Demonstrated experience managing changing priorities and supporting stakeholders during organizational change initiatives.
  • Well organized and efficient time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Degree qualified.
