RESPONSIBILITIES

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE

The candidate will be responsible for engaging a digital audience with compelling, well-crafted food stories and news across web and social platforms, with a primary focus on written content.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Develop compelling original digital content that aligns thematically with the content brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write food articles (features, reviews, and listicles) for 8days.sg
• Pitch fresh ideas
• Support stories with photos and videos for platforms like TikTok

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Strong, confident writing style with a clear voice 
• Sharp news sense and the ability to spot trends 
• Genuine passion for local food culture (hawker stalls, cafes, restaurants)
• Resourceful, curious, and comfortable talking to people 
• Able to work fast and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Team player with good communication and organisational skills
• Social media-savvy and adept at Adobe Photoshop
• Some knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut a plus 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Degree in any related discipline
• 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience
