The intern will assist the IR1 Hospitality Planning & Development team in managing project documentation, engaging with internal stakeholders, and assisting with the design processes. The intern will be involved in organizing drawings, layouts, and inter-departmental documents, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Opportunity to co-develop and design Operational Supplies and Equipment (OS&E) and Non-Traditional Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (NTFFE). This role offers exposure to project management within the hospitality industry and provides opportunities to contribute to process optimization
Document Management & Organization
Categorize up-to-date drawings, layouts, and formal documents.
Ensure documents are properly organized for quick access and alignment with project milestones.
Assist with version control and updates for project documents.
Document Review & Quality Control
Review project documents for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
Perform checks on internal communications to ensure alignment across teams.
Support in structuring and formatting responses and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Interior Design, Hospitality Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience
Prior internship or project experience in operations planning, project management, interior design, or document management is a plus but not required.
Other Prerequisites
Organizational Skills: Ability to categorize and maintain large sets of documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
Design Sensibility: Ability to execute design that balances operational needs with guest-centric experiences (comfort and intuitiveness)
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies and errors in documents and vendor submissions.
Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues related to document management, stakeholders’ engagement.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with Bluebeam and AutoCAD as a bonus.
Communication Skills: Ability to liaise with internal teams ensuring clear communication of project milestones.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
