Core Responsibilities
 

Channel Development

  • Drive Joint Business Planning with top customers & top-to-top meetings (BU GM participation for key customers as needed), and input into APAC & BU Integrated Commercial Planning
  • Be the owner of SBU P&L including co-developing activation calendar with key customers, management of budgets (e.g. TI, marketing, distribution)
  • Partner with global TR team on growing LEGO Travel Stores esp. Route-To-Market considerations, commercial assessment
  • Drive stronger governance of the channel to ensure clarity of execution (e.g. data, in-store photos)
  • Periodic negotiations on trading terms with customers
  • Continually find ways to refine ways-of-working to strengthen efficiency & effectiveness of the broader TR ecosystem
     

Key Account Management

  • Flow of Goods planning on partner operational level, with buyer or merchandiser (TBD Excel or via CTM/TPM sales tools)
  • Plan activations with partners (inventory, promotional mechanics, marketing requirements), including mitigation planning
  • Reporting and analysis – data submissions, provide consolidated outcomes & commentary in SEA monthly BPR
  • Periodic visit to airports to ensure strong in-store execution & understanding of market landscape
  • Support and lead the team in the preparation of Trade Show (typically May in SG), join Trade Show in France (October)
     

People and Team Leadership

  • Directly lead 1 Travel Retail Key Account Manager and to be supported by 1 Travel Retail Trade Marketer and 1 Operations support
  • Lead, inspire and develop the team and capabilities through clear direction, coaching, providing continuous feedback and support in career planning
  • Be an active member of the BU Commercial LT, contributing to strategic direction and priorities, while role modelling leadership behaviours and collaboration to inspire high standards across the BU.

Travel Retail is responsible for developing the LEGO brand positioning and actual foot print in major travel hubs across the world. Our key focus area is on major airports.

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • Account management/ Sales experience, with strong travel retail channel experience preferably in APAC markets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in complex situations/ with ambiguity
  • Strategic attitude with drive for excellent execution
  • Ability to lead and influence horizontally and vertically
  • Proven experience leading people, including coaching, mentoring, developing individuals and teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity to address TR opportunities; identify gaps, define processes and escalation points to mitigate accordingly
  • Ability to travel between 20 and 30 days a year
