The Plot Thickens: Job Description — Talent Acquisition Manager APAC
Recruitment Delivery & Ownership
- Take full ownership of end-to-end recruitment delivery across assigned APAC markets
- Act as a strong individual contributor, managing multiple requisitions concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Partner closely with hiring managers to clarify expectations, role scope, and hiring priorities
- Drive hiring progress independently — from sourcing and screening through offer coordination
Self-Starter & Ownership Mindset
- Operate with a high level of independence, accountability, and initiative
- Proactively identify hiring risks, pipeline gaps, and market challenges — and act on them
- Navigate ambiguity with confidence, bringing structure and solutions rather than waiting for direction
- Take responsibility for timelines, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes
Collaborative Team Environment
- Operate within a compact TA team, requiring collaboration, flexibility, and shared accountability.
- Support teammates through shared ownership, coverage, and knowledge exchange
- Contribute to building scalable practices as the team grows, without reliance on large-team structures
Recruitment Operations & Quality Delivery
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for mid-level and selected senior roles
- Build strong talent pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, and proactive market mapping
- Ensure consistent recruitment standards, documentation, and compliance across markets
- Maintain a strong focus on quality of hire and candidate experience
Stakeholder & Vendor Support
- Serve as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers, offering practical advice and market insights
- Coordinate with external recruitment agencies where needed, ensuring effective and cost-conscious delivery
- Support vendor tracking and recruitment reporting
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and ensure timely updates in recruitment systems
- Track key hiring metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and sourcing effectiveness
- Actively contribute ideas to improve hiring workflows, tools, and candidate experience — including thoughtful use of AI-enabled solutions
Attributes of the Protagonist (That’s You)
You’re a recruitment professional who values autonomy and takes true ownership of your work. Comfortable managing end-to-end hiring across multiple markets, you don’t rely on constant direction to move things forward.
You bring the pace and resilience of agency recruitment, combined with the judgement and long-term mindset of in-house hiring. You’re able to manage multiple requisitions at once while maintaining quality, consistency, and strong partnerships with stakeholders.
You anticipate hiring challenges before they surface — spotting pipeline gaps early and taking initiative to build solutions, rather than waiting to be told what to do.
You Are:
- A strong self-starter with high ownership mentality, operating independently with accountability and initiative.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, bringing structure and solutions when priorities shift.
- A collaborative team player in a compact TA setup, willing to share coverage, knowledge, and accountability.
- Stakeholder-savvy with sound business judgement, building trust with hiring managers through practical advice and market insights.
- Detail-oriented yet execution-focused, maintaining strong organisation, follow-through, and quality of hire standards.
- Data-informed and improvement-minded, using metrics to drive decisions and actively contributing ideas to enhance workflows and candidate experience.
The Hero’s Background: Qualifications
- 6–8 years of relevant recruitment experience, with exposure to in-house talent acquisition and/or agency environments.
- Experience supporting or managing hiring across multiple markets within APAC is necessary.
- Background in professional services industry, media and digital services industry or related industries are a bonus.
- Comfortable using recruitment data and insights to support discussions and decision-making.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional Asian language skills are a plus.
