Responsibilities:

SAP Finance Functional Leadership

• Act as the functional owner for SAP Finance modules including FI, CO, Asset Accounting (AA), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fund Management, Project System, Lease Accounting and Group Reporting.
• Define and maintain SAP Finance solution design aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Lead finance-related enhancements, configuration changes, and solution standardization initiatives.

End-to-End Finance Process Ownership

• Ensure finance processes are integrated with eProcurement, billing, budget, project system, banking, and reporting systems.
• Identify automation and simplification opportunities using SAP standard capabilities.

Project Delivery & Change Management

• Lead SAP Finance workstreams for S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and integrations.
• Oversee functional testing, UAT coordination, and cutover activities.
• Review and approve functional design documents, configuration, and transports.
   

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Partner with Finance leaders and regional teams to gather requirements and resolve issues.
• Act as the escalation point for SAP Finance-related matters.
• Manage and guide SAP vendors and AMS partners for Finance related areas projects / support
   

Governance, Controls & Compliance

• Ensure SAP Finance configuration complies with SOX, ITGC, audit, and statutory requirements.
• Enforce segregation of duties (SoD) and finance governance standards.
• Support internal and external audits.
   

Reporting, Analytics & Closing Support

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Enable financial reporting via SAP standard reports, Group Reporting, and Power BI.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and reporting integrity.
   

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and system adoption.
• Coach and mentor SAP Finance team members and key finance users.
• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of SAP Finance experience, with 3–5 years in a lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO mandatory).
- Experience leading SAP Finance workstreams in transformation projects.
 

Functional & Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis.
- Experience with Group Reporting or consolidation tools.
- Strong understanding of SAP Finance configuration and integration points.

Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Ability to bridge Finance and IT effectively.

Preferred Certifications
- SAP Certified Application Professional – SAP S/4HANA Finance
- CPA / ACCA / CA (advantageous)
- ITIL or Project Management certification
