About the role
The purpose of this role is to develop, manage and grow DayOne’s portfolio of data centre products and services globally. You will define and execute the strategy to drive growth and deliver business targets. You will also work closely with the key teams to identify growth drivers and opportunities, and develop products and services to meet customers’ needs.
You must have a good knowledge of the ICT and data centre market and experience in product management. You must possess strong capability to translate customer/market requirements and develop them into products and services. You must have an excellent proven “Strategy-to-Execution” track record, where you continue to develop/innovate the product to drive the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Define product roadmap, market leading features, functions & user experience
Define compelling product propositions for both retail and wholesale segments
Support customer bids/RFPs and assessment of commercial risk
Build business cases to evaluate investment opportunities based on thorough benefit and cost analysis
Lead launch management of new product launches, and work with internal & external subject matter experts to develop the business requirement documents, the business cases, the marketing collaterals & pricing
Develop pricing strategy, price & cost structure
Establish and maintain competitive intelligence
Translate customer/market requirements into opportunities
Develop benchmark against competitors’ product offerings, features and pricing to ensure market competitiveness
Evaluate leading technology trends through close collaboration with suppliers and partners
Evaluate strategic partnerships with market leaders in the industry
Advise key strategy teams on organic and inorganic investment opportunities
Support formulation and execution the strategy of Data Centre portfolio
Drive revenue growth through pipeline management
Define sales engagement model and qualification criteria, and manage lead generation
Manage end-to-end product lifecycle, including activities from pre-sales engagement to post-sales operational and assurance support
Manage product documentation & user training
Drive product innovation and enhancement
Accountable for the P&L of the portfolio
Co-develop go-to-market strategies with Marketing
Support channel sales
Qualifications and experience required
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of product management experience in IT, Data Centre or Telecommunication
Experience in managing products, assets/portfolios to drive revenue and profitability growth
Appreciation of technical knowledge of data centres, telecommunications and other technologies relevant to data centres
Strong knowledge of data centre industry including competitors, research analyst, brokers, investors, supply chain of system integrators, distributors and partners
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong commercial acumen
Financial knowledge to build business cases and financial models
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Speaks fluent English and Mandarin
