Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise

• Identify and establish relationships with telecom partners to build strong alliance partnerships across regions.

• Collaborate with partners to assess technical capabilities, network coverage (especially fiber reachability), and support DayOne’s new and existing data center campuses.

• Work with internal teams and landlords to ensure fiber paths and access points to the data center are fully diverse and carrier-neutral for new sites.

• Conduct site surveys and technical due diligence, working with consultants to identify and mitigate risks.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in telecommunications networks, technologies, and regional market landscapes, with a strong understanding of submarine cables, terrestrial cables, bandwidth, and IP transit pricing trends.

• Plan Day-One campus and regional network infrastructure, including inter-campus interconnects, MDF/MMR layouts, cross-connects, and related network services.

• Prepare business cases for network expenditures and manage procurement processes for network resources.

• Oversee telecommunications resources such as manhole and ducting inventory; manage MOP and PTW applications for fiber installation by telecom providers.

• Develop network services and collaborate with internal product teams to ensure services are productized and meet customer requirements.

• Support customer visits and actively participate in network-related inquiries and RFP/RFI responses, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Ensure all network activities comply with local regulatory requirements and licensing regimes; maintain a strong understanding of telecom regulations in the region.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications, product development, and network solution design.

• Strong technical background in networking, fiber, submarine and terrestrial cables, DWDM, and internet technologies.

• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with telecom service providers.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
