Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Associate to support the Singapore team with a particular focus on corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, and commercial litigation. The role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a team of industry experts, acting on behalf of a diverse local and international client base, with the opportunity to participate in a range of business development-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Partner and other team members on a range of complex and large-scale matters in particular on regulatory offences, civil litigation, and white-collar criminal defence.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to a broad spectrum of corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, and dispute matters.
  • Advising on conduct of corporate investigations into corruption, employee misconduct and fraud, as well as their interactions with law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
  • Being a key point of contact for and liaising with local and global clients.
  • Leading and participating in business development activities.
  • Appearing and representing clients in Singapore court and handling litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 3 to 6 years' post-qualification experience in Singapore acting for and advising clients
  • Suitable candidates will have strong academic results and be qualified to practise in Singapore
  • Proven legal experience in regulatory and compliance matters, and/or disputes and investigations
  • Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and networking ability.
