BW Epic Kosan

owns and operates a fleet of about 51 modern and high quality fully pressurized, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals and other specialty gases. We are headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Copenhagen, Manila, and Tokyo. Our vessels serve as a crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading energy majors and commodity trading houses throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. We employ approximately 2,000 seafarers and a multi-national team of about 180 shore-based staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseas the finances of a portfolio of vessels, including arrangement of Cash to Master, payments to suppliers, payment of crew wages, etc.
  • Preparation of monthly Vessel Owner’s Management Accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly Technical Management OPEX Reports and Variance Analysis.
  • Monitor the Accounts Payable and Receivable of owned vessels and technical managed vessels.
  • Liaising with external auditors during annual audit and preparation of draft audited accounts.
  • Preparation/review of tax computation.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Cash Flow and Profit & Loss Forecast.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Review and authorise payments to suppliers.
  • Assist in the enhancement of the various systems of the BWEK Group.
  • Monitor cash float utilization by 3rd Party Technical Manager.
  • Prepare and Review OPEX reports by 3rd Party Technical Manager to ensure OPEX is within budget and highlight to Ship Manager if it exceeds budget.
  • Preparation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) filling.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accountancy. Entry Level candidates may also apply.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standards and Tax Regulations.
  • Meticulous & adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Applicant should be Singaporean.
