The Opportunity
As the Senior Director, Sales – Adobe Customer Solutions, JAPAC, you are the architect of growth for one of Adobe’s most critical engines, Adobe Customer Solutions (ACS). You won’t just manage a territory; you will lead a geographically dispersed, ≈30-person organisation of sellers and architects to deliver Adobe’s most sophisticated Services offerings: Ultimate Success with Integrated Services Subscriptions, Custom Services, and Premium Learning.
Partnering with leadership from Digital Experience (DX), Customer Success, ACS Delivery and other cross-functional teams, you will bridge the gap between vision and execution. You are responsible for a $100M+ portfolio and tasked with a bold mandate: driving 20% YoY growth and redefining how Adobe partners with the biggest brands in JAPAC to achieve their digital objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Set and execute the JAPAC services subscriptions sales strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a geographically distributed team (ANZ, SEA, Greater China, India, Korea and Japan) of sales and technical pre-sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Champion the adoption and scaling of AI-powered solutions, Integrated Services, and Premium Learning, embedding these offerings into all sales motions.
- Define and execute a vision to grow the APAC business on a minimum 20% YoY basis.
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Own and deliver on ambitious regional ARR and ACV bookings targets for subscription services and custom services, supporting overall JAPAC growth goals for Adobe.
- Drive market expansion by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative go-to-market approaches.
- Develop a new logo GTM strategy and sales motion to ensure acquisition of new accounts which contribute a minimum 30% on an annual basis.
- Oversee complex, multi-country sales cycles and executive-level negotiations, ensuring disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
Technical Pre-Sales & Customer Value
- Oversee technical pre-sales engagement and solution design, ensuring strategic value propositions for customers.
- Elevate the solution architecture team to deliver on customer expectations during the pre-sales cycle.
- Ensure technical pre-sales functions are tightly integrated with ACS Sales and partner effectively with ACS Delivery to maximise customer success.
Executive Customer Engagement & Advocacy
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level and VP-level customers across JAPAC, serving as the executive sponsor and escalation point for strategic opportunities.
- Represent ACS at regional leadership forums and with senior client stakeholders, advocating for customer outcomes and long-term value realization.
- Guide the organisation in delivering seamless, integrated customer experiences across the Adobe portfolio of services.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
- Drive operational rigour with the regional sales leaders through forecasting accuracy, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement of sales and technical pre-sales processes.
- Drive a behaviour of operational excellence within the regions through account planning, deal reviews, review the business rolling four quarters.
- Optimise collaboration between sales, technical pre-sales, and delivery, standardize account and opportunity planning, and ensure alignment with regional profitability and efficiency goals.
Talent Development & Organisational Growth
- Build, coach, and retain a world-class ACS sales and technical pre-sales organisation, developing future leaders and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Develop a strong first-line management team to scale the organisation and promote rigorous sales discipline across engagement, pipeline development, and forecasting.
- Champion skill development, particularly in solution selling and technical excellence.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- 15+ years of progressive sales experience in consulting, software, or subscription-based organisations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-value engagements ($2M+ deals) and owning combined revenue of $100M+.
- Experience leading large regional or distributed teams across JAPAC, with demonstrated success in driving subscription and services growth.
- Deep expertise in enterprise software/SaaS, technical pre-sales, and subscription management. including P&L responsibility.
- Strong operational mindset with a focus on pipeline management, forecasting, and gross margin optimisation.
- Collaborative, matrixed leadership style with a track record of building alignment and driving results across complex organizations.
- Ability to travel extensively across APAC for customer engagement, team leadership, and deal closures.
